• cal. 33 photo-electric quartz movement recharged by a solar panel • off-white matte dial with gilt capter ring with Roman numerals, pierced decorative hands, four cloisonné enamel panels, one to each corner of the dial depicting branches against a dusky sky, the iconic shaped case with a multi-colored cloisonné enamel dome of warm autumnal colors, depicting owls in various stages of flight and landing, three panels around the main body depicting different species of owls in majestic plummage resting on branches against a dusky sky, the whole case supported on three gadrooned feet • case stamped, dial and movement signed  

Condition

Overall the clock is in very good condition. Gilt brass with some residue that can be easily cleaned. M. Mauris is a master enameler and this represents undoubtedly his finest work, the level of detail and skill is breathtaking. No defects to the enamel. A superb example of this iconic design. Movement will require a battery change.
