  • A MAGNIFICENT AND VERY RARE YELLOW GOLD, RUBY, MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND BLUE ENAMEL DOME MANTEL CLOCKMADE IN 1987 REF 1324 MVT 18910 CASE 1803816
  • height 29 cm
• cal. 33 quartz movement • finely engine-turned mother-of-pearl dial, outer gold chapter ring with Roman numerals, pierced gold decorative hands, blue enamel translucent mask with applied gold swathing floral motifs inset with cabochon rubies • the substantial domed case covered in translucent blue enamel over a guilloché background, decorated throughout with finely chased gold and ruby-set floral motifs in high relief, four fluted gold columns on gadrooned feet, the whole clock surmounted above four turned circular feet • case double signed and stamped, dial signed on a cartouche applied to the dial, movement signed  

Condition

A highly impressive clock, substantial in its eye-catching appearance. Overall in great condition, some light tarnishing to the gold but this can be cleaned; wonderful detail and undoubtedly the King of all Dome clocks - Enamel is rich in color and intact throughout, case is stamped PPC and with gold hallmarks on top and bottom plates, movement is in working order.

With a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1987 and sale on February 10th, 1988.  The Extract additionally states that the clock has 103 cabochon rubies total weighing 14.95 carats.  The total weight of the clock is 4.54 kilograms.  With a Patek Philippe cardboard travelling case.
