Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a thick layer of varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate, but UV examination does reveal an area of retouching to the upper part of the extreme right edge. There is an artist's pinhole to each of the four corners and some fine lines of craquelure in places, mainly to the sky. There is some light framing abrasion to the extreme upper edge. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though less purple to the blue of the sky.
