Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, fixed to the artist's original mount at the four corners. The upper edge is slightly irregular. The artist's mount is fixed to the over-mount at three points along the top edge and at the centre of the lower edge. A close inspection reveals a tiny (2mm) tear on the lower edge and another towards the centre of the left edge. There are old flattenend creases and associated minor tears and spots of paint-loss around the upper and lower left corners. There are small spots of surface abrasion at the centre of the lower, left and upper edges as well as in the centre of the upper right corner. There are some old stains visible on the reverse of the artist's mount. Apart from some light time-staining, this work is in good original condition.
