Condition
The border of the work has a light layer of dirt in addition to small black flecks, not inherent to the work, this; however, can be easily cleaned by a restorer. The wood frame, particular the top edge, exhibited very fine cracks/separation of the wood that are consistent with the breathing and movement of the wood. Several of the three-dimensional elements, more specifically the corners of these elements have experienced paint loss and or slight bending. A black mark, one-inch in length, is present in the upper right quadrant approximately three-inches from the top edge. A black mark, one-inch in length, is also present in the lower left quadrant three-inches from the bottom edge. A very minor dent, half-an-inch in length is visible two inches from the center of the top edge. Very faint grey handling marks are visible along the edges. Overall, this work is in very good condition.
