Catalogue Note

Claudio Bravo collaborated with fellow Chilean, sculptor Raul Valdivieso on a small series of sculptures in the mid-1970s. They were done in Madrid where both of the artists lived at that time. The subjects were those typical of Bravo’s painting and drawings  – they did a bread, a flat silver package (see a work sold in these rooms November 17, 2004, lot 166) as well as a larger blue package. The present work, Package on a Pillow, is the most complex of the sculptures.
