The cushion-shaped ruby weighing 3.77 carats, set within a cluster of brilliant-cut diamonds extending to the shoulders, size 61, signed M. Gérard, French assay and maker's mark.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains rubies of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices. Stamped 750 and with a French assay mark for 18 carat gold Signed M. Gérard on interior of sizing band, French maker's mark. Ruby accompanied by Laboratoire Francais de Gemmologie report no. 203220, stating that the ruby measuring approximately 11.1 x 8.7 x 3.4 mm, shows properties consistent with those of Burmese origin, with no indications of thermal enhancement. Ruby well saturated, good transparency, with typical crystal inclusions, minor abrasions on facet edges visible under 10x magnification. Diamonds bright and lively. Half of sizing band deficient. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use. In good condition.
