One brooch designed as a fern, composed of carved rubies highlighted with single-cut diamonds, Egyptian assay marks; another brooch of floral design, the petals composed of carved citrines set en tremblant, further set with circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds, French export and maker's marks; and a pair of cascading pendent ear clips set with graduating circular- and single-cut diamonds.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Ruby brooch: stamped with Egyptian assay marks for 14 carat gold. Rubies well matched in colour, of pinkish-red colour, strongly saturated, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, some chips and abrasions. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to metal consistent with use, some tarnish to areas on the front. In good condition. Citrine brooch: with French maker's mark. French export mark for gold. Citrine in good condition, with characteristic inclusions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.75 - 3.75 carats, bright and lively. Ear clips: diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 7.00 - 8.00 carats, of G-I colour, VS-SI (a few I) clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use. Clips secure. In good condition. Total gross approximate weight 97 grams.
