Description

Composed of three octagonal step-cut stones, two sapphires and one synthetic sapphire, framed with baguette diamonds and separated by an articulated band of brilliant-cut diamonds, and calibré-cut sapphire motifs, length approximately 172mm, French import marks.

Condition

Stamped with French import marks for 18 carat gold. According to the SSEF report, the three sapphires measure (from female to male end of clasp) 9.85 x 9.60 x 7.10 mm, 10.00 x 9.85 x 8.20 mm and 10.10 x 9.30 x 7.90 mm respectively, they weigh approximately 6.70 carat, 8.10 carat and 7.40 carat, the first sapphire is a synthetic stone and is of blue colour, the others are of Ceylon origin with no indication of heating, both are blue of medium strong saturation; both natural sapphires are with few typical crystal inclusions, all sapphires with few nicks and abrasions. Smaller Sapphires well matched in colour to the large ones. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.50 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Clasp secure, safety clasp to the side, safety chain deficient. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 38 grams.
