The round dial applied with Arabic numeral indicators, the reverse of the pendant set with a carved moonstone cameo depicting a dancing maiden in classical dress, signed Brandt, framed by 41 pearls measuring approximately 4.5 to 2.8 mm, the pendant-watch and surmount set with numerous baguette, old European and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately .90 carat, the removable later-added necklace cord set with old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately .25 carat, mechanical movement, dial signed Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, caseback signed Verger, with French assay marks; circa 1920.

Condition

In good condition overall, with some evidence of wear and scratching to the gold throughout. Some apparent enamel loss, mainly on the rondelles that connect the pendant-watch to the cord; minor damage to the enamel on the pendant-watch surface. The moonstone is intact and nicely carved. The near round pearls have a silvery white to silvery gray body color, good luster, and minor blemishing with a few examples of evident wrinkling and pitting to the skins that can be seen under magnification. Some of the larger diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity; the remainder of the diamonds are near-colorless and decorative in quality. The mechanical movement, currently running, is numbered 374630. Length approximately 16 1/4 inches and cord is fitted with a ring clasp.
