The pendant-watch in the form of a seashell suspending a pearl drop measuring approximately 16.0 by 9.0 mm, decorated with calibré-cut synthetic sapphires, set with numerous old European, rose and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.40 carats, suspended from a chain set with numerous old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.25 carats, mechanical movement, chain length 24 inches, the pendant with French assay marks, 3 rose-cut diamonds missing from the pendant; circa 1920.
Condition
In good condition. The dial in fair to poor condition due to heavy staining and possible water damage. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS to SI clarity. The rose-cut diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. The sapphires are synthetic which was somewhat typical for the time period. The drop-shaped pearl is silvery white with fair luster and soft rose and green overtones. There is some minor cracking on the reverse side of the pearl and some wrinking by the cap. The watch is not currently running. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 71455 stating that the pearl is natural, saltwater.
