The clips centering foliate clusters composed of carved rubies and emeralds accented by cabochon sapphires, within frames set with baguette, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.85 carats, one clip signed Tiffany, numbered 1319, the other clip signed Tiffany & C_, with partially legible numbering; with a retractable jabot pin mechanism; late 1920s.
Condition
In good condition overall. The carved rubies are medium-deep slightly purplish red, heavily included and translucent. The carved emeralds are a lively medium-light to medium green and moderately to heavily included, semi-transparent to translucent. The cabochon sapphires are translucent, medium-deep slightly violetish blue, ranging from eye-clean to slightly included with some abrasions evident under magnification. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, predominantly VS clarity. Dimensions approximately 3/4 inches in length and 2 1/2 inches in width. Clips can be separated into two by twisting one clip 90 degrees and pulling the section out.
