Centered by an octagonal step-cut sapphire weighing 13.47 carats, flanked by two bullet-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.15 carats, size 5¾, signed Piranesi.

The sapphire is a medium very slightly violetish blue color and is moderately included. Upon close inspection there is visible silk, which gives the stone an interesting sheen. Some minor chipping to the girdle, with one 1.5 mm chip at a corner below the girdle. The diamonds are approximately G-H color and SI clarity. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 57103 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
