Of bombé form, centering five old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.95, 1.90, 1.80, 1.80 and .95 carat, the mounting further set with round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.10 carats, size 5½, with French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
In good condition. Three of the center cluster of diamonds are approximately H-J color, SI clarity, the other two in the center cluster are approximately K-M color, SI clarity. The remainder of the diamonds are approximately G-I color, predominantly VS clarity. The workshop mark is a V and an S, bisected by a serpent. A ring of similar design is illustrated in René Boivin: Jeweller by Françoise Cailles, page 148.
