Of geometric design, the central panel opens to reveal a watch, centered by a cushion-cut diamond weighing approximately 3.05 carats, accented by numerous baguette, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 13.85 carats, manual movement, length 6½ inches, dial signed Charlton; circa 1930.
Condition
In good condition. The center oval diamond is approximately G-H color, VS clarity with no fluorescence. The remainder of the diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS clarity. One of the links bear evidence of repair with gold solder, but this can only be only be seen under magnification. The watch face opens on a hinge, the easiest way to open it is to grasp it from each side and lift. The dial is in good condition and only bear some very minute staining at the edges. The Manual movement is by Audemars Piguet, baguette high grade, 18 Jewels. It is currently running. Our watch maker/repair person recommends that the watch be removed while handwashing. Magnetism also affects the accuracy of manual movements and it is recommended that you store your mechanical watches separately (at least 1 foot away) from quartz watches, also, it should be kept away from cellphones, Ipads, computers and televisions. It should not go through the X ray machine at airports. Please see the Important Notice Regarding Watches on page 349 of the printed catalogue.
