Description

Designed as a peony blossom centered by an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately .90 carat, accented by numerous round, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 15.00 carats, the stems set with calibré-cut emeralds, signed Charlton; circa 1935.
Condition
In good condition, with minimal wear. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, VVS-VS clarity with several SI examples. The emeralds are well matched for color, a medium slightly bluish green, lightly to heavily included, transparent to semi-transparent, with several exhibiting minor to moderate chipping and abrading to the facet junctions, visible under magnification. Signed on an applied plaque on the reverse. Sculptural and three-dimensional, with a remarkably life-like appearance.
