Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling toward the edges, where the wood has worn slightly. There is a chip to the wood at the bottom center, which appears to be preexisting, where there is also some brown discoloration. There is a spot of paint loss at the upper right edge and scattered accretions on the figure's torso and on the George Washington relief. The colors of the American flag at the upper left appear to have faded slightly. There is a small, half inch spot of vertical craquelure to the left of the artist's signature. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Framed in a Plexiglas box.
