Condition
Woman Kneeling, 1914:
The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered along all edges to a cut-out mount. There is a pin-hole apparent to the centre of the top edge.
There is very slight cockling to the sheet, with two noticeable repaired tears, the longest of which measures c.2cm. up from the centre of the bottom edge, with a smaller repaired tear visible just above the head, with a visible crease just to the right of the right eye. Elsewhere there is very slight creasing to the bottom left hand corner, with further very slight scuffs visible elsewhere to the extreme edge. Elsewhere there is very slight spots of dirt to the sheet, but this excepting the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Housed behind glass in a gilt painted frame, set within a cream card mount.
Head of a girl:
The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered to a backing card via two hinges at the top edge. The sheet is slightly unevenly cut, not visible in the present mount.
There is slight cockling to the sheet and deckling to all edges. There is minor dirt, light staining and flecks of studio detritus, with a further light spot of foxing to the right of the face. There is also a slight pressure mark to the centre of the fringe, visible upon close inspection, but this excepting the work appears in good overall condition.
Housed in a silver gilt frame and set within a linen-textured mount.
