Relined and under a very thick and dirty old varnish. paint surface has been slightly pressed in the relining, but image still reads well overall. some losses along extreme upper edge and one at lower left edge. under UV light: it is impossible to see through the old varnish. there is an area of retouching on top of the old varnish in background at upper center.
