Condition

There is an old glue relining. surface has been pressed in the the relining and is under a dirty and dull old varnish. areas of abrasion and scuffing, most noticeable in the browns and in background areas. some scattered old and discolored retouches can be seen with naked eye. under UV light: it is difficult to read due to the old varnish. there are some scattered inpaints of craquelure in the sky area above figures, on face of central female figure (St. Anne) and figure of young Virgin at left. there is a possible repaired tear at center right and retouchings in browns of the corner at upper right and left. others scattered. In a plain brown wood frame.
