Condition

This photograph, on double-weight paper with a smooth surface and very slight sheen, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, several tiny deposits of original retouching are visible. Upon extremely close examination, 2 tiny, light rust-colored deposits of indeterminate nature are visible near the left edge of the image. There is minor wear to the margin edges and corners, and the tip of the upper right corner is creased 1/2-inch. The reverse of the print is appropriately age-darkened at its periphery. On the reverse of the print, the 'Changing New York' stamp is annotated in colored pencil with the following information: Place: '149 Eighth Avenue, Manhattan' Neg. # '297' Code: 'III.H' Date: 'May 18, 1938'
