Condition
This photograph, on lightly textured, double-weight paper with a slight surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. Silvering is visible in the left black margin edge. In raking light, several deposits of original retouching are visible in the upper-central portion of the image. The margin corners are rubbed, with resultant tiny losses of emulsion. There is a small loss of emulsion along the left margin edge. There are small clamp impressions in the margins.
The reverse of the print is appropriately age-darkened at its periphery. On the reverse of the print, the 'Changing New York' stamp is annotated in colored pencil with the following information:
Place: '88 Washington Street, Manhattan'
Neg. # '161'
