This slightly warm-toned, early print, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally excellent condition. A few tiny deposits of original retouching and pin-point-sized impressions and scratches are only visible upon extremely close examination in high raking light. None of these are immediately apparent and do not detract in any way from the fine appearance of this early print. The reverse of the print is age-darkened and soiled with rust-colored fingerprints. The photographer's print date stamp reads 'Printed 1960s.'

Charlotte Gordon was the Art Director of Seventeen magazine in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  Among the small group of photographers and artists she worked with closely were Andy Warhol, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, and Bob Blechman.  Gordon and her husband Harry formed a close friendship with Friedlander and his wife, Maria.
