Condition
The chromogenic prints appear to have faded somewhat.
The plates are as follows:
John Baldessari: Blue Boy (with Yellow Boy: One with Hawaiian Tie, One in Dark) (1989), three-color lithograph -There are two small paper-tape hinge remnants on the reverse.
Chuck Close: Sunflower (1989), internal dye diffusion transfer print - There is a slight tear in the upper left corner of the wrapper.
Jan Groover: Untitled (1989), chromogenic development print - This print is numbered '221' in ink in the margin. There is a small loss of emulsion in the upper left corner of the margin and a few soft handling creases in the right edge of the print and margin. There are two 1-1/2 inch celluloid-tape remnants along the upper and lower edges on the reverse.
Barbara Kruger: Untitled (1989), silkscreen on vinyl - There is a half-inch scratch in the upper left quadrant.
Annette Lemieux: Apparition (1989), chromogenic development print - There are several small soft and sharp handling creases in the left margin, and there is one small soft crease in the lower left corner of the image.
Duane Michals: Untitled (1989), gelatin silver print - This print is mounted to heavy paper, and there is a very small diagonal impression in the top right corner of the margin.
Richard Prince: Untitled (1983), chromogenic development print - There are several creases in the margins, and a few in the image. There are a few very small, semi-opaque deposits of indeterminate nature in the upper right portion of the image.
Robert Rauschenberg: Untitled (from the Bleacher Series) (1989), bleached silver gelatin transfer print - This print is mounted. Visible only upon very close examination in raking light are several tiny particles adhered to the surface of the print, which likely occurred during processing, and a fingerprint in the upper right quadrant.
Cindy Sherman: Untitled (1979, printed 1989), chromogenic development print - The print has lost saturation and vibrancy, except for a thin band at the top of the image, which was previously covered by a mat.
Bruce Weber: NYC Studio (1986), gelatin silver print - This matte-surface print is lightly rippled at the upper and lower edges. There are a few faint scuffs in the upper left corner and in the figure's leg that are visible upon close examination.
William Wegman: Second and Third Steps (1989), two gelatin silver prints (diptych) - These two gelatin silver prints are mounted together. There is a pin-point-sized impression in the right image. The margins of the chromogenic prints are somewhat yellowed. Many of the prints were possibly previously matted, as the periphery of the print often appears lighter in tonality.
There are a few scattered creases to the front matter, but it is generally clean. There are occasional fingerprints on the wrappers. The portfolio case is in generally excellent condition, without wear to the spine or cover.
