Catalogue Note
When Fabergé's Moscow shop at 4 Kuznetskii Most was closed in 1917, a detailed inventory of the firm's goods was made and included an enamel frame with inventory number 13143 priced at 375 rubles. The frame was likely confiscated by the Soviets and later sold off through one of the agencies tasked with selling art and jewels for hard currency. We are grateful to Svetlana Chestnykh for assistance in cataloguing this lot.
