the lid enamelled en plein with Pan and Venus in an arched reserve, the border repoussé with Slavic scrolls and geometric motifs, the polished surface inset with circular-cut diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires, the lower right corner engraved in Russian 'From Lazar', struck with maker's mark V&K (Cyrillic), 84 standard
Condition
The entire surface of the enamel panel has been lacquered to conceal restoration, the silver with some scratches and shallow dents.
