the arched body carved of black slate, the white enamel dial with Roman chapter rings within a hinged beaded bezel, the German bell-striking movement Lenzkirch, with lever platform escapement, the front applied with Roman numeral XXXV and dates 1869 and 1904, the silver banner inscribed in Russian 'To [Our] Distinguished Colleague of Many Years/ Aleksei Fedorovich Sidorov/ In Fond Memory From/ A. Yu. Rotshtein', the surmount cast and chased as a figure of Mercury after Giambologna on a rocky base, the sides with laurel wreath handles, the toupee feet cast with leaf tips, struck with workmaster's initials and K.Fabergé in Cyrillic, 84 standard, Dutch import marks, with modern key and wood case
