Description

triangular, the surface enamelled in translucent mauve over sunburst engine-turning within a two-colour gold border chased with acanthus, the bezel of ribbon-tied white opaque enamel stripes, later silver-gilt back and strut, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 56 standard

Condition

The enamel is in good, unrestored condition, with minor scratches at the tip of one corner. The frame was fitted with a timepiece sometime before the 1957 sale; to accomodate the winding mechanism, on the of the corners was drilled. The backing was possibly replaced at the same time. It is recommended that interested bidders should view this object in person.
