St John Chrysostom turned to the left dressed as a bishop in ecclesiastical vestments, holding an open scroll with two hands, the icon coming from the Deisis row of an iconostasis

Condition

The background and borders stripped to the levkas, some retouching to the painting and three larger patches of restoration in the lower part of the icon comprising a part of the dark green ground and the saint's feet, some loss of levkas along the borders, a vertical crack running through the upper and lower border
