in the upper register the Mother of God seated on a throne crowned by two angels, the Christ Child seated on her knees flanked by four saints, in the lower register St George slaying the Dragon to the left and St. Demetrios slaying Tsar Kaloyan to the right
Condition
The icon with extensive restoration especially in the rocky landscape in the lower register and in the robes of the two bishops to the right of the Mother of God, some more repainting and retouching all over the painting, as well as in the gold ground, some loss of gesso and paint along the lower border of the icon
