painted in bright colours against an architectural background, the apostles, led by St Peter and St Paul, seated on a horseshoe-shaped bench, in the lower part the personification of Kosmos wearing royal robes and a crown, holding a white cloth with twelve scrolls referring to the different languages the apostles spoke after the Holy Spirit had descended and to the twelve tribes of Israel, at the top of the composition rays of light descending from a segment of heaven symbolising the Holy Spirit
Condition
Two restored crack running through the panel from top to bottom, some repainting along these cracks, some retouching especially to the gold ground and to the garments of the apostles, a patch of restoration visible in the face of the apostle on the left hand side (second from the bottom)
