to the left, St Elizabeth lying on a bed whilst being assisted by two attendants, in the foreground a mid-wife bathing the infant St John the Baptist, to the right St Zacharias depicted seated on a backless stool writing, the city of Nazareth appearing in the background with white decorations emulating stucco relief, the figures portrayed with ochre and cinnabar nuances
Condition
The panel in all probability slightly cut to the left and right, some retouching along two vertical cracks running from top to bottom, some restoration especially along the border
