narrating scenes of the prophet's life, an angel appearing to Elijah in his sleep in the lower left, the prophet and his disciple Elisha crossing the river Jordan, in the upper part the prophet depicted on a chariot ascending to heaven within a red mandorla held by an angel, in the upper left the blessing hand of God emerging from a celestial segment
Condition
the background and border stripped to the levkas, some retouching especially to the garment of the angel in the upper left hand corner and to the face of Elisha in the central lower part
