Condition
The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.:
This work on paper has been mounted onto wooden panel. The panel is stable and the paper is well adhered. There is slight unevenness to the panel, but this is certainly not disturbing or unattractive. The painting is quite highly varnished. Corot painted very rapidly and thinly in places, but the condition is still very good. There seem to be only a few tiny spots of retouching in the sky, and there do not appear to be hardly any in the landscape or through the town itself. The work can certainly hung as is, although the varnish could perhaps be re-examined.
