Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are light handling marks intermittently towards the edges of each panel. Close inspection reveals minor rub marks in isolated places, notably to the centre and towards the left edge of the smallest panel and a faint scuff mark just right of the bottom right oval depression in the largest panel. There are two minute indentation with associated hairline cracks, one towards the centre of the left edge and one towards the left of the extreme bottom edge of the largest panel. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals a few specks of restoration in isolated places to the right side of each panel.

Catalogue Note
"The oval shape ... is certainly a primary structure, not the child of a geometric reduction to the essentials, but rather something that echoes more complex filigrees, and perhaps radical symbolic moods, rooted in a modern vicissitude spacing from Brancusi to Arp to Fontana. It is a moneme because the artist does not make it an assertion, rather unfolding its infinite spatial possibilities with a play of unlimited variations, repetitions, articulations, cadences, making the world a radiant fields [sic], in every sense, of plastic and visual energies".
