Description

  • tinned copper
the incised decoration comprising a band of inscriptive cartouches and quatrefoils containing foliate arabesques on a hatched ground, with inscription near rim, the body with a densely engraved design of split-palmettes and interwoven floral sprays

Condition

In general good condition, the surface rubbed with losses to tinned copper, scratches, oxidisation visible on interior with few minor cracks with associated consolidation, as viewed.
