the shoulder with lobed cartouches containing calligraphic inscriptions and quatrefoils with foliate motifs, the body with arabesque arches between medallions each featuring split-palmette designs
Condition
In general good condition, minor dents to body, rubbing to surface, some consolidation around two old cracks, scratches to surface, as viewed.

inscriptions
The inscriptions contain two benedictory quatrains and a verse.
One of the quatrains appears on two pieces in the Victoria and Albert Museum attributed to the mid and late sixteenth century (Melikian-Chirvani 1982, cat. nos. 126 (the second quatrain) and 134). The single benedictory verse is from Sa’di’s single couplet and is on a piece in the Victoria & Albert Museum dated by Melikian to the late sixteenth-early seventeenth century (Melikian-Chirvani 1982, cat. no. 145).
Owner’s name as: Shaykh Muhammad ibn Darvish Muhammad
