Catalogue Note

inscriptions

Punched on reverse: panzdah mithqal yazdah nokhod (?)

‘Fifteen mithqal and eleven nokhod (?)’

Mithqal is a unit of weight (a gold dinar is one mithqal), it is also given as 1 mithqal = 4.61g and 1 mithqal = 25 nokhod

In black: ya ‘aziz (?) 1115. These numbers most probably refer to 15 mithqal and 11 nokhod rather than a date.
