- Ink on paper
Arabic manuscript on paper, each ijazeh with 3 lines to the page, a thuluth bismillah followed by 2 lines of naskh script in black ink, a cartouche beneath with 4 lines of small thuluth script, the interstices and borders filled with rococo polychrome floral motifs, outer margins filled with scrolling leafy vines, framed
Condition
In good overall condition, one with a few minor losses to the paper in bismillah, otherwise good, as viewed.

Catalogue Note
The two present ijazehs were awarded to two brothers, Muhammad Sahib Bey Efendi and Yahya Tawfiq Bey Efendi, both sons of Ibrahim 'Usmat Bey Efendi. Both diplomas are signed by the brothers' tutor 'Abdullah al-Zuhdi.
