Description
- Ink and gold on paper with binding
Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 310 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, each leaf separated by a protective sheet, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink against a gold ground, interlinear Persian translation in red, margins filled with commentary (tafsir) written diagonally in nasta'liq script, opening illuminated headpiece in blue and gold, three illuminated double pages marking the beginning, middle and end of the Qur'an, further illumination throughout, red morocco binding with gilt tooled decoration
Condition
In good overall condition, spine split, cracking and worn, calligraphy bold, a few minor stains, as viewed.
