four Ottoman calligraphic leaves from an album, 5 lines to the page, written in black naskh script surmounted by a further line in large thuluth script, ruled in gold; 3 loose calligraphic leaves in black nasta'liq script in black ink including 2 Persian quatrains, ruled in colours and gold; 4 further loose album pages including 2 Persian quatrains on pages with outer margins filled with large silver floral sprays, another Persian quatrain in large nasta'liq script with outer margins flecked with silver, and a final plain album page with a portrait of Zinat al-Nisa, daughter of Emperor Awrangzeb, with inscription above and Persian quatrain to reverse against a gold ground
