Ottoman Turkish manuscript on paper, 9 lines to the page, written in diwani script in black ink, surmounted by a large tughra sprinkled with gold
Condition
In good overall condition, small losses to upper edges with associated paper repairs, ink bold, as viewed.

This firman in commanding yet elegant diwani script is addressed to the Governor of Aleppo from the Sublime Port regarding his previous complaint to Istanbul on caretaking matters in Aleppo and a certain Khosrow Gozji. The letter says to show the firman if necessary in order to settle the issue.
