- Bound manuscript
Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 427 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 13 lines to the page, written in neat naskh script in black ink, surah headings in white thuluth script within gold-ground panels, illuminated medallions throughout, catchwords, opening double page illuminated frontispiece with a rigorous decoration composed of interlacing split-palmettes predominantly in blue and gold with polychrome flowers, contemporary leather binding with gilt-stamped central medallions and corner pieces, with flap and slipcase
Condition
In good overall condition, pages clean and fresh, illumination bright, one binding board detached and other loose, requiring conservation, slipcase rubbed and with losses to extremities, as viewed.
