gouache heightened with gold, each leaf with 4 columns of text written in black nasta'liq script, ruled in colours and gold, each leaf with 23 lines of text on the reverse, one with two illuminated headings

Condition

In generally good overall condition, some rubbing and abrasions to painted surface, creasing to outer margins and minor paper repairs, a few small holes to outer margins, as viewed.

Catalogue Note

Hushang, son of Siyamak, was brought up by his grand-father Kayumarth because his father Siyamak was killed by a div. In revenge, he hunts down and kills the black div.

Iraj is the youngest son of Faridun who is chosen as the Crown Prince by his father🍌, but he hears that his two step-brothers Tur and Salm are unhappy about the choice and goes to them to give Salm the crown and the thrown, but he is killed by Tur and his body sent to Faridun.
