Catalogue Note
A fine atmospheric portrait, inscribed to " my dear friend Sybil," i.e., Sybil Seligman (1868-1936), a long-time London friend and sometime lover. Frank Bangs (fl. 1900-1928) was appointed photographer for the Metropolitan Opera in 1906.
