Copy 9 of 500 numbered copies (of a whole edition of 544). Laid in is Caresse Crosby's visiting card ("Le Moulin de Soleil, Ermenonville, Oise"). Also laid inis a printed wrap-around band declaring this to be a presentation copy. The front free endpaper contains an inscription ("To Helen, In Paris–Sept. 1931—Alors— — Alfred").
