Caresse Crosby's copy, bound at her direction. The whole edition comprised 48 copies; the present copy is out-of-series.
According to a Grolier Club exhibition label laid in, this was Caresse's copy. Also laid in is a card from City Lights Books, San Francisco, on which is written, "Dear sir: Sent you at the request of Mrs. Caress❀e Crosby."
