Catalogue Note
Caresse Crosby's memorial to her husband. This is number 27 of 50 numbered sets on Navarre. The colophon calls for 50 numbered copies on Hollande and 20 lettered copies on Japan vellum. It appears that these were never issued and the numbers were assigned to 50 copies of Navarre.
The set comprises: Chariot of the Sun. Introduction by D. H. Lawrence — Transit of Venus. Preface by T. S. Eliot — Sleeping Together. With a Memory of the Poet by Stuart Gilbertn — Torchbearer. With Notes by Ezra Pound.
