Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There are scattered pinholes along the edge of sheet and there is evidence of light discoloration along the right center edge of the sheet, presumably from the frame. There are small tears at the top of the black form and to the right of the black form which appear to be inherent and original to the work’s condition as they have been painted over by the artist. There are scattered spots of light discoloration to the right side of the black form and towards the left side which are visible under close inspection. There are light handling marks along the edges of the sheet which appear to be from the time of execution. There is a small 1/4-inch spot along the left edge which may exhibit minor paint loss. There is a slight undulation to the sheet and some minor irregularities to its surface. The sheet is mounted to canvas. Framed under Plexiglas.
