of handle-shape with rectangular section, carved with serrations at one end and a slightly faceted terminal at the other end, divided by four pairs of incised lines into three segments below a waisted section, the second segment incised with a 'V'-shaped patterns, the jade of green color with areas of calcification; together with a plain archaic jade plaque, Shang dynasty (2)

Condition

Compared to the catalogue illustration, the jades are much darker. The fitting (illustrated on the left) has a tiny chip to the lower edge.
